who do I blog for?
Jack Nicolson put it brilliantly in the road-trip scene from the 1999 movie As Good As It Gets: Not everyone has a terrible story to get over. Some people have great stories, beautiful stories that take place in parks with friends and noodle salad. Good times, noodle salad. Just no one in this car.
If you're overwhelmed today or need help facing a painful yesterday, you're in the right place. You matter to God. It (whatever it is), matters to God. But no one can make that discovery for you. I'm here to comfort, inspire, and even challenge you along the way. The lessons I learned throughout my toughest years of healing were never just for me. God had you in mind as well. You are why The Medicine Place exist.

my hope for readers
If a life can be a book, I open mine to you. Read my story, and gain new insight into your own.
One Smooth Stone
One smooth stone she held in her hand.
Facing the giant:
The evils of man.
The enemy thundered, "I will have my way!"
But the voice of an angel said, "Not today."
Then hate aimed an arrow at the little girl's heart,
As it splintered to pieces,
He bragged on his art.
She laid still on the ground,
It appeared she was dead,
But Jesus proclaimed, "She's sleeping," instead.
"Awake! Awake! Oh, daughter of Mine,
To a Love with no limits,
That's not bound by time.
To a place of renewal, restoration, and peace,
Where the least is a thousand,
My promise, I keep."
Now filled with His Spirit, she faced the new day,
With slingshot in hand,
She walked in His ways.
She fought the good fight.
She never backed down.
And we all watched the monster,
Fall right to the ground.
Rise up little children!
Take back your land!
God's merciful blessings,
Out number the sand.
